Operating Knowledge Studio™

Who it is for

For charity, CIC and community-organisation teams whose work depends on information held by several people.

A shared job and someone to own the knowledge.

A communications lead may need current programme descriptions and approved messages. An operations lead may need procedures and decisions that colleagues can find and use.

The work suits a team that has already used AI for some of its work and is ready to build a more consistent setup. A larger charity can begin with one department.

You do not need to be an engineer or have chosen the final software.

The work starts with a conversation, and The engagement page shows the six stages that follow.

Ready enough to talk

  • A senior sponsor and a named owner for the shared knowledge.
  • Suitable accounts, permissions and access to one structured home.
  • Usable source material and time from the people who know the work.
  • Some experience using AI, or an approved setup the team can help test.

If the first need is basic AI training, you and I should establish that before scoping an implementation.

Keep personal records in their own systems.

The knowledge base holds organisational descriptions and suitable aggregate evidence. For policies, it holds metadata and pointers to the authoritative documents. Policy text stays in its existing home. Beneficiary, safeguarding, health, private HR and bank records stay out.

If permissions prevent a shared knowledge home or agreed AI access, that needs resolving before a build can work.

If the immediate need is grant readiness

I offer funding-focused work through Grant Resource Studio and support a wider range of organisational work through Operating Knowledge Studio. You and I can establish the fit in conversation.
